Smoked Baby Back Ribs & Potatoes Recipe:
Ingredients:
•
1 racks of baby back ribs (about 2 pounds total)
•
1/4 cup brown sugar
•
2 tablespoons smoked paprika
•
1 tablespoon garlic powder
•
1 tablespoon onion powder
•
1 teaspoon black pepper
•
1 teaspoon salt
•
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for spice)
• 3 large potatoes (optional) • 2
Tbs. Olive oil for binding.
Instructions:
1.
Prepare your smoker according to the manufacturer’s instructions and
preheat it to 225°F (107°C).
2.
Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs. Season the ribs
generously with salt and pepper.
3.
In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic
powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper (if using).
4.
Rub the olive oil for binding and spice mixture all over the ribs,
covering them completely.
5. Once the smoker is
ready, Place the seasoned ribs on the smoker rack, meat side up, and the potato
wrapped on thin aluminum foil.
6.
Close the smoker and let the ribs smoke for 4-5 hours, or until the meat
is tender and easily pulls away from the bone. Maintain a consistent
temperature throughout the smoking process.
7.
Optional: During the last hour of smoking, you can brush the ribs with
your favorite barbecue sauce for added flavor and whapped in thin aluminum
foil. (recommended)
8.
Once the ribs and potatoes are done, remove them from the smoker and let
them rest for a few minutes before slicing.
9.
Slice the ribs between the bones into bite-sized portions, season the
potatoes as you like it .
