Chicken Chow Mein Noodles Recipe

 Chicken Chow Mein Noodles




Ingredients:

        •       ½ Pound (226g) egg noodles
        •      0.75 Pound( 340g )chicken breast, thinly sliced
        •       2 tablespoons soy sauce
        •       1 tablespoon oyster sauce
        •       1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
        •       2 cloves garlic, minced
        •       1 teaspoon ginger, minced
        •       1 onion, sliced
        •       1 bell pepper, sliced
        •       1 carrot, julienned
        •       1 cup cabbage, shredded
        •       2 tablespoons vegetable oil
        •       Salt and pepper to taste
        •       Spring onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

        1.      Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
        2.      In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, and hoisin sauce. Set aside.
        3.      Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add the sliced chicken and stir-fry until cooked through. Remove from the wok and set aside.
        4.      In the same wok, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
        5.      Add the sliced onion, bell pepper, carrot, and cabbage to the wok. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
        6.      Return the cooked chicken to the wok. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken and vegetables, and toss to coat everything evenly.
        7.      Add the cooked noodles to the wok and toss until well combined and heated through.
        8.      Season with salt and pepper to taste.
        9.      Garnish with chopped spring onions if desired, and serve hot.
