Russian Potato Salad (also
known as Olivier Salad) recipe for you:
Ingredients:
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 large carrots, peeled and diced
- 1/2 cup frozen peas
- 4 large eggs
- 1 small green onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup mayonnaise.
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Cook Potatoes and Carrots: In a large pot,
bring salted water to a boil. Add the diced potatoes and carrots. Cook until
tender but still firm, about 10-15 minutes. Drain and let cool.
2. Boil Eggs: Place the eggs in a pot and cover
with water. Bring to a boil, then let them cook for 10 minutes. Remove from
heat, cool, peel, and dice the eggs.
3. Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine
the cooked potatoes, carrots, diced eggs, and green onion.
4. Add Mayonnaise: Gently mix in the mayonnaise
until everything is well coated. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
5. Add frozen peas
(previously rinsed in a hot water).
6. Chill: Cover and
refrigerate the salad for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors
to meld together.
