Honey Sesame Chicken Recipe

Ingredients:

        •       1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
        •       1/4 cup soy sauce
        •       1/4 cup honey
        •       2 tbsp rice vinegar
        •       2 tbsp sesame oil
        •       2 cloves garlic, minced
        •       1 tbsp grated ginger
        •       1/4 cup chicken broth
        •       1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
        •       2 tbsp sesame seeds
        •       2 green onions, sliced
        •       Cooked white or brown rice, for serving

Instructions:

        1.      Prepare the Sauce:
        •       In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and chicken broth. Set aside.
        2.      Cook the Chicken:
        •       Heat a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add a bit of sesame oil and cook the chicken pieces until they are golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
        3.      Combine and Thicken the Sauce:
        •       In the same pan, pour in the prepared sauce mixture and bring it to a simmer.
        •       Stir in the cornstarch mixture and cook until the sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.
        4.      Combine Chicken and Sauce:
        •       Return the cooked chicken to the pan and toss to coat with the sauce. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the chicken is heated through and well coated with the sauce.
        5.      Garnish and Serve:
        •       Sprinkle the sesame seeds and sliced green onions over the chicken.
        •       Serve the honey sesame chicken over cooked rice.
